A Slum Symphony is a documentary film on the most inspiring international music phenomenon of our time: The National Children and Youth Orchestra System of Venezuela, a social project that changes the future through the classical music for 300.000 boys and girls from the poorest regions of Venezuela. A Slum Sumphony documents four years (2004-2008) through the stories of children and teenagers: four years of successes of the System and the Simon Bolivar Youth Orchestra all around the world. The intention of the documentary is to tell many stories from inside the 157 Orchestras of the National Children and Youth Orchestra System and show how the music can change a society.
